Trains, riding and SNOW!

Just a few pics from this week. A crazy train that I think they use to check the tracks at night, with super powerful lights and a camera/sensor.

Crazy pics of Pixie airing crazy high at Motion come next.

Also got some pics from riding Flatland at night, at the crazy Brandon Hill basketball court spot.

And finally on the way to work this snowy morning.

Leigh Woods

A collection of photos from sunday in Leigh Woods. The photos have an unintentional theme of texture.

A sunny Saturday

I had a fantastic Saturday and walked almost entirely around Bristol. Got some great shots and in the afternoon went riding and got some shots of Craig. Then went out for an indian with riding friends. What an awesome day.

Busy busy busy.

I have been so busy making websites both at work and freelance in the evenings that I have had neither the time nor desire to update the blog. I have, however, been taking photos so here is a selection from moss in Clifton Village, some studio photography of some awesome colouring pencils I found, some shots from a rainy flatland ride, some awesome match photos of my friend Wil's matches, and some from Motion including Dan and Del.

Velvia 100

Got my slides back from the first pro-quality film I've ever used, Fujifilm Velvia 100. Expensive but worth it, the colour saturation is gorgeous! Here are some of them:

Flatland at night

Had a cool ride, even with the rain trying to stop play. Got some great riding photos with light blur. There were so many good ones I couldn't cut them down, check them out:

Clevedon

Today Kathryn and I went to Clevedon, not far from Bristol, and the closest thing to a beach. We had a walk about and bought an expresso maker, yum!, for 99p!

Motion, Tom and Taz (no hander!)

I've been working super-hard since I went back to work after Christmas, rebuilding the company's website. 8 hours a day of coding websites then 3 hours of freelance coding in the evening certainly gives you a head fuzz! So to blow the cobwebs away I went to Motion on Friday evening, a good time to go as it was nice and quiet.

I saw Tom which was cool as I hadn't seen him since before Fiji, so August sometime! And Taz was there, he'd just learnt tuck no-handers and we worked on getting the picture he wanted. I also got an awesome shot of Tom going real high, I just love the lighting on him, and the dark background.

Newport

First of all I have started using CuteNews to make this blog, so commenting that things are easier. Today I went to Newport skatepark with George and Dan, I had quite a good ride but it was a bit busy. I got a few shots of the guys:

A trip to Ashton Court

Seeing as we now had a car we decided to go on a trip, all the way across the bridge to Ashton Court, which has gone up to 50p! each way, which is unbelievable, £1 for a round trip across the bridge and back. I estimate they make between £1200 and £3500 a day! Ridiculous. Anyway...

New Years Eve...Kathryn's Birthday

Kathryn and I got up early and went on a drive to Church Cove. The sea was so rough and the sky real moody. We had coffee and breakfast in the car and then walked on the beach and got blown about.

The rest of the day was spent with Kathryn opening presents, having party food and just being lazy in the house.

Rocks and rough water

After a very relaxing Christmas, with lots of board-games, I picked my bike up at the unit and headed to Cornwall for a few days. Kathryn and I went out in our new car! The weather was quite wet and windy, which led to some very dramatic, moody photos.

Bad weather doesn't mean bad photos, remember that.

Fish-eyes and MTBs

Jake and Ian were down the Unit and I took loads of photos or Tommy, Paddy, Jake and Ian. Somehow my lens fogged up so some of the shots are foggy, but hey. Oh and check the one of Paddy tailwhiping, the wheel was about 2mm from the lens!

Tommy - Freelance Photographer

While getting Tom to get a shot of me doing a barspin transfer I managed to roll my ankle and went downstairs annoyed and left Tommy to play with my camera, these are some of the shots he got (good luck on getting that cam soon Tom):
