Macro-photography is probably my favorite. Its pure escapism.

A photograph taken at a few centimeters is like a glimpse into a different world, a world of the Borrowers, where you are but a few inches tall.

The delicate detail of a flower can only really be appreciated close-up. It is far to easy to pass nature's beauty by while hurrying about in our busy lives, but to view the intricate structure of a flower from a bee's-eye-view is truly captivating.
