For you an unknown person, for me a trigger to a series of memories
Portraits are the hardest to photos to be satisfied with, how can anyone have proper insight into a person and their personnality from a still image? It's very difficult to take a natural photo of someone, especially as they will usually react to the presence of a camera. I find therefore that the best portraits of people are taken without their knowledge, I would therefore suggest a sneaky-sneaky approach. The potraits I have here I feel are good representations of the people they contain, but as I know these people and you probably don't we can never have the same impression from each photo. This is of course true of every visual image but I feel it is especially so of photos of people. Behind each photo is a series of experiences I have had with that person that undoubtably means that I will have preconceptions about the subject. Nevertheless I hope you will enjoy the photos I have here. | |
